Blue Governance Lab

Fiona is a PhD student in the School of Energy, Geoscience, Infrastructure and Society at Heriot-Watt University, located on the Orkney campus.

Fiona's project sits in the realm of wellbeing within the context of the blue economy and seeks to explore AI technologies and develop innovative methodologies for measuring and integrating wellbeing into marine and coastal decision-making processes. She hopes that her research contributes, in a small yet meaningful way, to the complex puzzle of sustainable marine and coastal management and planning.

Fiona has worked in the past years in the IT industries, mostly for financial institutions and is looking very much forward to learning about social studies and doing programming once again.
